A jewelry appraisal is a technical and financial document, drawn up by a gemologist, and must include the following information:
• Description of the piece, including the composition of the gemstones and materials.
• Photographs of the jewelry piece
• Material analysis and manufacturing process, whether hand-crafted or manufactured, including the time period in which it was made, the brand and the origin.
• Gemological analysis of the stones that comprise the jewelry piece.
With this data the actual value can be correctly calculated, but only with the appraiser’s comprehensive knowledge of the global jewelry market.
